Getting to know Mary Paige and Nick

I have introduced you to Mary Paige and Nick a few times throughout the last year...but never like this! Mary Paige is an Alpha Phi (just like me), a cheer coach (just like I was) and proud Virginia Girl (again, like me)...we hit it off the very first time we met and we have since become good friends. I often forget that we met in a client/vendor meeting! This June, I will finally watch my good friend get married, to a hilarious yet sweet man, while surrounded by her friends and family and our sisters in Alpha Phi. I'm more than excited!

MP sent me this great video that their best man and video genius John Grubb made for them to kind of chronicle their lives together thus far. John and his partner Craig Vogel started "Your Legacy Video" a few years back in Atlanta and I love the product they offer. One of their wedding video packages includes this great "Bride & Groom" video seen below.

I cannot wait to show you all of the details to their June wedding in a few short months...which will be shot by none other than my other half James Christianson.

Bridal Shoot: Mary Paige

What a crazy weekend for Antonia Christianson Events! We had a weekend full of rehearsals, weddings, floral meetings...and a FABULOUS bridal shoot on Sunday afternoon. I was so excited about the shoot on Sunday that I had to post just one beautiful picture of my pal and client Mary Paige. By now you probably recognize her from our blog as we have introduced her quite a few times and we are seriously counting down the days to her June nuptials.

The fabulous team of Trey Tesoro and James Christianson  from James Christianson Photography sent over just a few teaser images and I loved them so much I wanted to share just one (of course Mary Paige said it was OK).

Here she is:

Customizable Everything!

I have mentioned my client and good friend Mary Paige quite a few times in the past and today...i'm going to mention her again! Mary Paige is an amazing graphic designer and a super cool chic. She is the design pro behind my blog and my new FAVORITE save the dates. Mary Paige is known for her complete custom design work from blogs, to save the dates, to complete custom bridal websites...well really, she can do anything (and she's darn good at it). Here are a few great images of the amazing work she does.

First, her save the dates! MP and Mr. L live in Atlanta now and are getting married here in Virginia (on the coast) next June...So what are her save the dates? Coasters that say "Join us on the Coast," So cute right?? Oh yes, with a beautiful image from James Christianson Photography.

Next...Here are a few images from an invitation suite that MP did for a friend...
And of course...my beautiful blog that MP created custom for me! (which I love)

THANKS MP!

Mary Paige & Nick: A Quick Pic

A few months back I had the honor of meeting Mary Paige (we call her MP) and her mother while she was in town visiting from Atlanta. MP and I immediately hit it off, she is a fellow Alpha Phi (which I LOVE), a southern girl with a great style, an amazing Graphic Designer (You can thank her for my FABULOUS blog) and she is hysterically funny. I was sneaking a peak at her super cute wedding website that her and Nick created themselves when I came across a few pictures of them on a little photo shoot at their first date location. I'm going to blog more about MP in the coming weeks and the wedding services that she offers...but today, I thought I'd show a cute picture.

2010: A Year In Review

What a year 2010 was! I celebrated my 5th wedding anniversary with my husband, countless memories with my boys (who by the way are growing like weeds) and we moved our studio to space that more accurately conveys our brand. We helped plan over 30 weddings, an amazing “Pink Martini Night” for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and even had time to throw in a surprise party for my hubby James. Not only has our business grown, but so has our staff. The 2 amazing event staffers and 1 intern that we started the year off with quickly grew to a staff of 6. We were growing so our staff needed to as well! We hit a few bumps in the road but I am so happy with the girls that help make our clients dreams come true every day. They are my team, my friends, and my saving grace in the middle of this chaotic world.

The ACE Team was honored to be featured in Bride & Bloom Magazine in the Spring along with client features in National Wedding Blogs such as Inspired By This, The Brides CafĂ©, Uniquely Unveiled (the Weddings Unveiled Blog), Sparkliatti and even Essence Bridal Bliss (the blog for Essence Magazine). We were honored to be nominated as a Wedding Wire Rated Wedding Planner in 2010 and are blessed to be chosen as “The Best Of the Knot” for 2011.

Life is good, business is better...my blessings are uncountable.

I could go on and on about everything that happened in 2010…but I know you just want to see a few of our favorite images...I said, Just a few:

Audrey and Marc: A great way to tee off the season

We have many great events to post in the coming days and weeks...but Audrey and Marc are one for the books! Marc is a PGA golfer that recently came back from the Masters and Audrey is a hometown Virginia Beach girl with a great sense of style. I actually met Audrey through my client and pal Mary Paige and we immediately hit it off! I knew from the first day we met that their wedding would be a blast (did I mention he's from Australia)!

Here are a few details from the day: Audrey and Marc's wedding and reception had a great travel theme that was carried throughout the entire event. We had passport themed wedding programs, luggage tag place cards and hand painted signs for their guest tables named after cities. Along with including their travel theme, they included their great sense of humor...out of town guests were picked up in a big yellow school bus, the ring bearer walked down the aisle carrying a sign embroidered with the saying "Run Marc Run" and their groomsmen were incredibly hilarious (with sayings too inappropriate to put on a professional blog).

We worked with some amazing vendors! East Beach Catering (they have the most incredible macaroni and cheese I think I've ever had!), Chris Tyree (documentary film maker extraordinaire), The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company (so much fun for all!), Baker Entertainment and Pike Media Resource (they made a pretty sweet light show). And Finally...the entire thing was captured by the one and only Lissa Hatcher. You can see a few of her amazing and fun images below:

As always..let us know what you think! Leave a comment.

Invitation Suite Inspired by Our Hot Summer Colors Post

Good friend and previous client, Mary Paige Larsen, designed this amazing Invitation Suite after reading our blog post "Hot Colors for Summer." We love this design and really think it goes great with our idea for a yellow and blue summer wedding. Thanks MP!
