Workout Wednesday: Virginia Beach Adventure Bootcamp

I wanted to introduce you to a great vendor... one whose sole career is to kick butt day after day!... Meet Adam (and his lovely wife Jen!)

Adam and Jen run the Virginia Beach Adventure Bootcamp: A great, women's only bootcamp held 2 times daily in Virginia Beach. I have personally taken part in their kick-butt work out and absolutely love it!

A bit about the coaches:
Jennifer has devoted her life to finding ways to help others. While attending college she discovered that she could further that devotion by majoring in Elementary Education which she now has obtained a B.S. degree in. Teaching others and leading them to a path of success seemed to be the ideal place for Jennifer to start her career. It was while Jennifer attended Radford University that she began to reminisce about her active days as a child involving swimming, cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. Wanting to overcome her long time personal struggle with weight concerns, Jennifer, began exploring fitness and nutrition. Since then Jennifer has become a Nationally Certified Advanced Personal Trainer (NCSF) and is passionate about learning and practicing proper health, nutrition, and fitness. Having maintained her weight loss, Jennifer wants to inspire other women to achieve their goals for weight loss and other physical conditioning goals. Combining her love for teaching, helping others, fitness, and nutrition Jennifer is thrilled to be your next motivator and coach!

Adam's life was always geared around sports and fitness. Since the age of five he has been involved in a variety of sports and activities ranging from soccer (his first passion), track, cross-country, basketball, baseball, and BMX racing. At Salem High School in Virginia Beach he was fortunate to be a cross-country state qualifier and varsity soccer captain. He took his love of sports and fitness to Radford University where he graduated with a B.S. in Exercise, Sport and Health Education. Before completed his degree he obtained an Advanced Personal Trainer Certification (NCSF) and began coaching men and woman towards their health and fitness goals. Adam has since worked with over 100 Virginia Beach residents to help them lose weight, get in outstanding shape and improve the quality of their lives. He looks forward to meeting you and pushing you to your ultimate fitness goals!

Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase: Recap

I know, I know...I'm a week behind but I wanted to post a few images of the Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase held last Sunday at the Marriott Waterside Hotel. This annual showcase which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure (my favorite non-profit) had over 3000 guests in attendance and raised over $6,000.

Since Antonia Christianson Events is known for planning, designing, and coordinating weddings it is always imperative for us to call on the vendors that help us create breathtaking events week after week at the bridal shows we attend. (and this event was no different). We showcased images from James Christianson Photography, Stationery from RSVP, Bouquets from Fluttering Flowers and a beautiful centerpiece from Daevid's. We also spruced up our tables with linens from Distinctive Event Rentals and a beautiful cake that usually graces our conference room from the ever talented Patti Cakes.

Let's start out our pictures with a few of our favorite vendors. Remember, we took these images quickly with our non-professional cameras, so we apologize for the quality.

Meet Ms. Mia Byrd from the Chrysler Museum of Art. Notice her floral arrangement (which we love!). I think she made it herself. Such a multi-talented event pro!

These crazy guys make up half of the team at Arch Entertainment and the ever talented photographer Justin Hankins. Rodney Charles and one of his team members are in black. Justin is in white.
I wish I had a better image of the fabulous work at my pal Daevid's booth. His work is phenomenal...and his booth was OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Who doesn't love a beautiful black and white image? And no one does them better than the one and only David Schwartz. (as you can see!). Here I am with David and one of his beautiful brides from last year.
This quick shot definitely doesn't do Patti Cakes' booth any justice... but trust me when I say her cakes are phenomenal and there was at least a 20 minute wait to taste her cakes the entire show.

Now, here is a bit of insight into the Antonia Christianson Events booth:
Here is a small mock table with a beautiful arrangement from my good friend Daevid. This was definitely a "statement" piece.
My beautiful office cake. I LOVE THIS THING!!! Thanks Emily Patti from Patti Cakes, Inc.
"In Lieu Of" cards from RSVP Stationery.
Technically this image should be in the "vendor images"... Let me introduce you to the fabulous James Christianson of James Christianson Photography (aka my handsome hubby). He wasn't there for his business this time...he was there to help me set up. Notice his beautiful images in the background.
Instead of brochures this year, I decided to call on my good friends from RSVP Stationery to create wedding programs that included my information in them. They were an absolute hit!
This image usually graces the walls of my studio and is taken by James Christianson Photography...but our good friend Kelly Lee also gave us a proof book of one of our beautiful Chrysler Weddings from this year.
We always love to have items in our booth that brides can pick up and talk about. This year these items were beautiful bouquets created by Debbie Pence of Fluttering Flowers.
Finally! My team! (minus Rachel). Lindsey (our intern), Myself, and Kelly. Without them I'd be nothing.

Monica and Aric: A Beautiful Chrysler Wedding!

WOW! What a way to start off 2010...with probably the most breathtaking bride i've ever seen. No lie! I've seen a lot of amazingly beautiful brides...but to see a breathtaking bride doesn't happen too often.

I had the opportunity to work with Monica and Aric for an entire year before the big day and I knew that this wedding was definitely one to wait for. Monica was accepted to Law School and moved away during the middle of the planning process and Aric was a great groom that wanted to be hands on. He picked out the event lighting with the help of Jeremy at Blue Steel, came to floral meetings with Fluttering Flowers and of course came to catering meetings at Cuisine & Co. (what guy doesn't like food right?) They are a great pair, with a great personality, and an amazing future ahead of them.

Of course I loved their wedding color scheme. Butter Yellow and Slate Gray. It was AMAZING in the Chrysler. Especially with those beautiful yellow and white flowers lit from above. It ROCKED!

What's my favorite part of their wedding? Monica surprised her dad with an Accordion player for their father/daughter dance. He had no idea what was coming...and we started their dance in a very classy way, with a traditional waltz...only half way through the accordion player came out and started playing a polka. Every guest went crazy! It was so much fun and very unexpected.

Who did I forget? Their stationery was from our good friends at RSVP (completely custom designed from Save the Date to place card). Their delicious cake was from Sweet Dreams by Stephanie. Ceremony music was from the ever helpful Trish Fritz at FritzPro Music (how do you think we found that accordion player), and the party rocked out all night with Rodney Charles of Arch Entertainment. They exited in a great car from the Unique Car Service and their pictures were taken by the Amazing Hayne Photographers!

Jamee and Paul...a winter engagement for a spring wedding!

2010 holds many amazing things for Antonia Christianson Events...one of the best opportunities we are looking forward to is working with vendors and venues we have not yet had the chance to work with in years past. Our next wedding is at a great venue in Williamsburg and we will also be traveling out of our market in the fall for a wedding that is sure to be a blast. Of course, one of our most favorite opportunities is when we get to work with beautiful venues right here in our own backyard like the Chrysler Musuem of Art, Half Moone, the Chamberlin on Fort Monroe, and as in the case for this beautiful couple...the Portsmouth Renaissance.

Meet Jamee and Paul. A super cute, super fun couple that met in a bit of an unconvential way. They will be getting married in the spring at the ever beautiful St. Paul's Church in Portsmouth with their reception at the Renaissance Hotel. 2 amazing venues, that I have not yet had the opportunity to work (and the truth is, this year I get double the fun, 2 weddings in both places, ROCK ON!!). Here are just a few images from the ever FABULOUS DelHaven Studios! Christine captured this love struck couple beautifully.

Check back in May for more:
