Chrysler Wedding Party: 2nd Annual

For the last 2 years the Chrysler Museum of Art has hosted a "Wedding Party" for potential brides in Hampton Roads. We love this event as it only features preferred wedding vendors to the Chrysler Museum of Art, it is open to the Public, and it gives brides and potential clients the opportunity to see the Chrysler set up with some of the amazing vendors that make magic weekend after weekend at this fabulous castle like venue.

Instead of a traditional booth this year we decided to set up a "mock table" that would let brides envision where their wedding guests would be sitting as they ate dinner. Obviously, I chose yellow (it's a favorite of mine if you can't tell)...but then I choose a happy spring like linen to warm us up a bit from that brisk March wind. Daevid created our beautiful flowers! I loved that he included daffodil's as they are a sure sign of spring and he also let us use one of his amazing chandeliers (which, If I don't say so myself, was one of the "WOW" pieces of the night). RSVP Stationery created our "in lieu" of cards, tables number and place cards and Blue Steel Pro Lighting lit our booth.

Here are a few pictures from our "Fresh" spring booth. Thanks Echard!!

One of the fabulous ACE team members Stephanie tied these chair ties...I loved them and we already have requests for client weddings. Thanks Steph!

WOW! the ACE Family is growing! No, No...not me but many of our former clients, now dear friends (or dear friends that became clients). I have received so many phone calls, texts and emails in the last few months about so many new babies that I wanted to share the news with all of you!

First: We'll start with those who have recently had babies. My 2 M's, Mel and Molly, My 2 best friends, both had babies in the end of 2010.

Nicole and CJ got married in 2009 as well...and welcomed baby Addison just this week! she's beautiful!

Next! It's Meg and Jon! If you've been to my studio you've seen this life size image on my wall...and she's also the daughter to amazing florist Debbie Pence of Fluttering Flowers (and my Melanie's sister). Congrats Guys! Can't wait to meet baby Spears!

Jason and Tanya got married in October 2009 and will be welcoming a baby in September. They are great with their nieces and nephews, so I can't wait to see them with their own sweet baby.
We also run in the same circle of Meehans', So glad you are adding to our baby craziness!

We just heard the news about this great couple yesterday...Cass and Jason are welcoming a baby girl in August! Congratulations guys!

This is one of my all time favorite wedding images and clients. Hannah and Stefan got married in October of 2008 at the Lesner Inn and were truly a blast to get to know. We love running into them from time to time and wish them much luck as parents.

Another Great ACE Client: Natalia and Joe got married in May 2009 at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. They will be welcoming their bundle of joy in September and are excited to give their daughter Kylie a little sister.

A Fascinating Accessory

If you are looking for a one-of-a kind accessory to complete your bridal ensemble, your search ends here! Fascinators originially debuted in the late 18th century and have made a comeback! A fascinator- also called a cocktail hat or Chapeau- is a delicate headpiece typically made of flowers and feathers. Many designers create custom pieces in vibrant colors and add rhinestones, tulle, etc. The dainty headpieces can be attached to hair using alligator clips, combs, or headbands. These head-turning accessories have been flying off the shelves thanks to the influence of Kate Middleton. The soon-to-be Princess of Wales has been seen wearing custom fascinators on multiple occasions, and sales of similar pieces have increased dramatically. Bridal fascinators are a trendy veil alternative- or you can transform your look by switching to a feathery fascinator for your reception. Most designers embrace custom orders, so you can have the fascinator of your dreams! Check out these designs that we know you will love!

Great Wedding Dance Video

My staff always find the most hilarious wedding videos and great proposals to send my way. But this one takes the cake. We have had our share of choreographed first dances...truly funny bridal party dances, but nothing like this! We love this "bridal party battle". What do you think?

Christine and Vinny: Norfolk Engagements

It's been a while since we shared any engagements with our readers...but today that will change! Our clients Vinny, a New Yorker and Christine a Virginia Beach Native have great style and class. We were so excited when we received these great pictures in our inbox we had to share right away. Vinny and Christine will be getting marred in 2 short weeks at the Chrysler Museum of Art. We just had our final meeting and I laughed the entire time. Vinny is so very funny and it's my understanding that his 5 brothers (yes 5!!) are the same way. This wedding is sure to be a HOOT! Christine has her hands full but she can definitely hold her ground! Congrats guys!!

Thank you Scott and Adina! Love these pictures!
