Media Feature: Mag Rouge

We have talked about our "Mag Rouge" feature a few times on our blog...but haven't ever properly shown you the images, so I thought we'd change that today. Yesterday we posted a bit about us traveling to our Paso Robles market to work on two gorgeous photo shoots for the online magazine Mag Rouge and also Destination I DO. MagRouge is a relatively newer publication with great readership and amazing style...so we were of course HONORED to work on such a great shoot for such an up and coming publication. Mag Rouge gave us design inspiration of "Harvest", but it wouldn't be an Antonia Christianson Events shoot if it weren't glammed up a bit.  Who doesn't love a sequins linen with woodsy accents. We absolutely loved the flowers that Camilla Burns created and the little accents from her studio we were able to use to bring everything together. (notice her gorgeous planter that we used as our champagne chiller! swoon.) You can check out the pages on this online magazine below along with many more of the elements we brought in, or view the publication in it's entirety here.

I could sleep in this linen. Absolutely, one of my favorites.

Seriously, can she look any more gorgeous?

Love! Love! Love!  Her Jenny Yoo gown and headpiece from Lo Boheme.

Media Feature: Destination I DO

This year has been an absolute whirlwind of a year for the Antonia Christianson Events Staff. In May we had the opportunity to travel to Paso Robles California, (our growing 2nd market) and design 2 amazing shoots for 2 different publications. We shared a bit from the first shoot with you previously (and will share more in the coming days from Mag Rouge) and today we are more than honored and over the moon with excitement to share the pages of Destination I DO with you. There are so many vendors that helped bring this awesomeness together...Some of the vendors that we were blessed to work with we have literally "social media stalked" for years, so the fact that we were in their presence was more than awe inspiring to us. Enough Talking...take a look see for yourself and tell us what you think:

OK OK OK, one more thing...10 pages and the cover image? I almost passed out.

Check out image number 6...notice anything cool? One of the things Team ACE loves is bringing in small details to each event that are unique to the client and the venue. We asked Adrienne, with Cherish Paperie, to include cork as the back layer of the stationery. It was such a subtle detail, but one of our favorite images.

Custom Details! Something we love! Notice the custom napkins and runner that match? Thanks to Helen Price, our custom linen designer (and fab MIL) to Antonia of Antonia Christianson Events, our gorgeous purple flowers had a nice pallet to pop off of. Thanks Helen!

Loved the Wine and Cheese Display on the wine barrel bar. Lindsey Spears of Antonia Christianson Events designed this gorgeous food display...such a simple touch that definitely packed a punch.

Wine Barrel Chairs for the ceremony? Don't mind if I Do!

Love what you see...Leave us a comment and tell us about your favorite detail!

An Engagement Story: Arianna and Luke

Team ACE wants to introduce you to such a fun couple who we will be celebrating with next weekend. We appreciate their uniqueness, and they truly are one of a kind! Arianna and Luke met at a Halloween party years ago and shared a best friendship ever since. Check out their photos below by Beau Womble Photography. We are excited for your big day!

An Engagement Story: Wendy & Jeremy

Team ACE has been excitingly preparing with Wendy and Jeremy for over a year now for their big day coming up this month. We love that Wendy is a sorority sister. Their event is going to be a classic event with a modern flare. Here's the love story from Wendy:

"What happens in Vegas...
Wendy and her friends had planned a spring break trip from James Madison University to California, but plans changed last minute, and they decided to spend the week in Las Vegas. As luck would have it, Jeremy’s Michigan State spring break plans to cruise the Caribbean were broken at the last minute, landing him and a couple of friends right in the heart of Sin City. One fateful night at Caesars Palace’s Pure Nightclub, Wendy was trying to escape an unwanted conversation with a Vegas frequenter, and spotted a tall, dark and handsome gentleman from across the bar. Wendy approached the mystery man, and thus began the love affair of Wendy and Jeremy.

Six Years in the making...
Jeremy is from Michigan. Wendy is from Virginia. Much of the first three years of their relationship was spent travelling back and forth. Jeremy ultimately made the selfless move to Washington, D.C. where thecouple currently resides.

The Proposal...
After a long flight home from a business trip in Seattle, Wendy walked into the apartment she shared with Jeremy, fully expecting to drop her bags in the bedroom and catch up on missed DVR. Instead, she found atrail of roses that led her around the apartment and straight to Jeremy. Wendy, jet lagged and exhausted, remained clueless as to whatwas about to happen -- that is until Jeremy dropped to the floor on one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous ring she'd ever seen.

And of course she said YES!"

Congratulations, Wendy and Jeremy!

Inspiration Week: Cupcake Couture

Today Antonia Christianson Events wants to introduce you to Cupcakes Couture from the heart of Manhattan Beach, California. We always absolutely love the work that the Executive Pastry Chef, Stephanie,  and Owner, Jenine, create. Team ACE had the honor of working with them at a shoot in Paso Robles this past spring. Check them out... and be inspired! We love them and know you will too. To check out more of their work look at their blog here.

What was your inspiration for the creation of Cupcakes Couture?
The creation was a collaborative effort between Jenine and myself [Stephanie]. Jenine, coming from New York, moved to the South Bay and saw that there were no Cupcake shops around quite like the one she was envisioning so she decided to open one up in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach. Having a great business background but not having pastry knowledge she hired me [Stephanie] on to help make Cupcakes Couture what it is today. Our inspiration was high end French/American with a modern twist but still able to relate to the “beachy” casual lifestyle we both love.

Where is an unexpected place you have found inspiration for a new flavor, design, etc.?
I get inspired from everything around me! I get most of my inspiration for our cupcakes and cakes from fashion, lifestyle trends, seasonal colors, floral arrangements, wedding dress designs and patterns. I love incorporating different textures and flavor elements in every cupcake and cake.

When beginning something new, finding inspiration can be difficult. What is one piece of advice you have for someone looking for inspiration for their wedding desserts?
I would say take inspiration from every element in your wedding, whether it be the dress which may have a beautiful element like lace then add a lace accent on the cake. Or take the style and colors of your floral arrangements and bring those out in the desserts. Take the venue it will be placed in and go from what you as a couple love and want your guests to share and experience with you.

Inspiration Week: Green Wedding Shoes

We have turned our last weeks "inspiration week" into a month of great posts from inspiring professionals in the wedding world. Today, we want to introduce you to Jen Campbell, the inspiration behind Green Wedding Shoes. We have had the pleasure of meeting Jen on a few different occasions now, we have mutual friends in California, and always love running into her at local restaurants when we are visiting the west coast for business. She has always had open arms, and is very friendly- you can tell how kind and caring she is by the posts on her blog, and she is just the same in person! We read her blog daily, and always look to it for inspiration.

We asked Jen a few questions about where she finds daily inspiration, and below are her responses:

Often, inspiration hits when we least expect it. What is an unexpected place that you have found wedding inspiration?
I love finding inspiration when traveling. Whether it be a different country or just a different city, there is always something new to see and experience. Those experiences lead to some great inspiration for features for the site!

Typically there are a few popular wedding trends that we see over and over again, however, what is one wedding detail that you love, that has run "under the radar" ?
I love sharing all the creative + unique details our couples come up with, but the one moment I love most (not sure if it's a trend!) is the first look photos. Such an amazing moment captured and it is always my favorite when putting together our real wedding features.

When beginning to plan a wedding, it can be difficult to know where to start. What is one piece of advice you would give to a bride beginning her search for wedding inspiration?
Well, I would recommend checking out Green Wedding Shoes! :) We have hundreds of gorgeous and inspiring real weddings to look though – all with different budgets, different amounts of details – but all full of fun + love which is what the wedding day is all about. We also have galleries that have hand picked photos of the best ceremony details, reception details, bouquets, dresses and more which you can Heart. What does that mean? Heart-ing posts is like our own private Pinterest boards - pretty cool so your family + friends won't see what wedding details you are loving and will be surprised once your wedding comes.

Because we do find inspiration with Green Wedding Shoes, we picked out one of our favorites to share with you today! There are too many pictures to post, so you can view the entire blog post HERE.
